Managing tenants
AccessLens can analyse more than one Microsoft Entra tenant from a single subscription. This is how MSPs and consultants cover client tenants alongside their own, all managed from the Tenants page inside the app.
How many tenants your plan includes
- Free and Starter: 1 tenant
- Professional: 5 tenants included, expandable up to 100 with additional tenant capacity
- Enterprise: custom, contact sales
The Tenants page always shows your current usage against your allowance, for example “6 of 25 tenants”.
Adding a tenant
- 01
Open the Tenants page and click “Add tenant”
A Microsoft sign-in popup opens. This is the same read-only OAuth flow used for your first tenant.
- 02
Sign in with an account in the tenant you are adding
The account needs Security Reader or Global Reader in that tenant. For client tenants, this is typically your guest or admin account in the client’s directory.
- 03
Consent to permissions (first time per tenant)
Each tenant grants consent independently. An admin in the client tenant may need to approve the read-only permissions once.
- 04
The tenant appears in your list
Switch to it at any time and its Conditional Access policies load for analysis. Rename it to something recognisable, for example the client’s name.
Renaming, reconnecting, and removing
- Rename: give a tenant a friendly display name. This only changes how it appears in AccessLens.
- Reconnect: re-establish the signed-in session for a tenant in the current browser.
- Remove: unregister a tenant and clear its locally cached policy data. This frees a slot in your allowance. Your last remaining tenant cannot be removed.
Your billing account
Your subscription is attached to the Microsoft account you purchased with. You can add and analyse client tenants from any of your connected accounts, but plan and capacity changes are made while signed in with the billing account. The Tenants page shows which account that is.
Adding tenant capacity (Professional)
Professional includes 5 tenants. If you need more, additional client tenants are self serve, priced per tenant per month with volume discounts:
- 1–10Monthly$10 / tenant / moAnnual billing$8 / tenant / mo
- 11–25Monthly$8 / tenant / moAnnual billing$6.40 / tenant / mo
- 26–50Monthly$6 / tenant / moAnnual billing$4.80 / tenant / mo
- 51–100Monthly$5 / tenant / moAnnual billing$4 / tenant / mo
Pricing uses volume brackets: the rate is set by the bracket your total lands in and applies to all of your additional tenants, so crossing into a bigger bracket lowers the price of every tenant, not just the new ones. Annual billing is a further 20% off the monthly rates.
- 01
Click “Buy capacity” on the Tenants page
New customers can also choose Professional on the Pricing page and set their tenant count during checkout.
- 02
Enter the total number of additional tenants
The price updates live as you type. The same exact amount is shown again on the Stripe checkout page before anything is charged.
- 03
Adjust any time
Reopen the dialog to raise or lower your total. Changes are prorated on your existing billing period rather than charged from scratch.
